Thanks to the Rotary Club of Mornington for its support for Interplast & Samoa.
The Rotary Club of Mornington has recently sponsored a volunteer medical team to continue to undertake life-changing work in Samoa.
In Samoa, from August 27 to September 8,  the team conducted plastic and reconstructive surgical treatment for 60 patients, conducted consultations with 134 patients,  and continued  the training  and mentoring  local surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and physiotherapists. The value of the volunteer team’s time was nearly $100,000.
The Rotary Club of Mornington contributed $18,000 to the cost of sending the team.
Rotary was integrally involved in the establishment of Interplast in 1983 with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. It is now a fully accredited NGO  providing similar support in 17 countries.that enjoys the support of Rotary throughout Australia.
