This  Week's Meeting - October 2 we have Tracey Cooper as our Guest Speaker. It's an open meeting, so I hope that every member can bring at least one "friend",  be it a partner, sponsor, colleague, prospective member, or friend.

Tracey will be our guest speaker for our second monthly "feature speaker meeting",  and will follow on from Garry Crittenden in speaking about the Tourism Industry on the Mornington Peninsula. It's come a long way from foreshore based camping in summer school holidays to being a key region in Victoria's highly successful tourism strategy.  What has driven this growth? How successful has it been for local residents and businesses ? And where is it heading ?

Tracey is Executive Chair person of Visit Mornington Peninsula (previously Mornington Peninsula Tourism Board ) and has overall responsibility for the future of the tourism industry on the Peninsula.  She has been in that role for 7 years and was previously adviser to the Victorian Tourism Minister. There is no one better credentialed to speak on this topic.

Again please let Eileen know the number of guests you are bringing - by email eileen.prudden@outlook.com or phone 59744352 or 0400118467

Also a reminder - if you are going to be away or not attend a meeting please also let Eileen know ...as we update the hotel for catering and room set up.

President's Report's
Board Meeting September 25 Report

All members should now have received the Minutes directly from Ian (thanks for being so prompt). Our meeting next week will give the opportunity to ask questions. Pleasingly part of the business was to receive four membership applications, Joe Siragusa, (who most members have now met ) Rod Birt, (who will join our meeting this week) Nicholas Lynch and Leigh Powers who is renewing (welcome back Leigh)

Sponsorship - Nicholas Lynch Real Estate

As foreshadowed last Bulletin Nicholas Lynch Real Estate have come on Board as significant club supporters and sponsor. They are platinum sponsors of the Ast Show, are now sponsoring our weekly Bulletin, which will feature a property ad and they are offering a significant donation to the club for every rental property management we introduce. More details at our meeting next week.

A reminder about District 9820 - Education Opportunities Coming up

Over the next few months there are some excellent District Education events coming up.

There is a one day President Elect Training Session on Saturday Nov 16 for the Peninsula Clubs (or if you cannot make it then you could attend the Nepean Cluster on Sat Oct 19). Whilst its called President Elect Training it really is suited to anyone interested in the club's management.

Then the Rotary Leadership Institute has three separate days of education that are suited to all members who want to enhance their knowledge of the enormous amount of activities Rotary undertakes. Dates are  Sat  Oct 19, Nov 9 and Nov 30 . If you are interested in either of these please let me know.

Regards
Ross
