Upcoming Guest Speaker
This is next week's newsletter a few days early because we need to know numbers for next week's meeting ......
Reminder - Next Week's Meeting - Wednesday September 4 - Guest Speaker Garry Crittenden
This is is first of our monthly Feature Guest Speakers evenings and an opportunity to invite  partners, friends, colleagues, past members and sponsors to enjoy an evening with Rotarians. I encourage you all to bring along at least one guest. Please let Eileen know by Monday morning at the latest whether you are coming and how many you will be bringing, so we can advise the Mornington Hotel. Full details appear on our website and we have also promoted it on our facebook page.

Prospective Member Information Session
Immediately before the Sept 4 Meeting, at 5.30pm, we will be running a less than 30 minute session about the Mornington Rotary Club. It is designed to provide prospective members with information to attract and engage them. Please come yourself and bring anyone you know who may be interested. You don't have to RSVP but it would be good to let me know.

Weekend Away  October 12 & 13 at the Goldfields Resort at Creswick
Based on early feedback on what social activities members would like we have arranged a weekend at the Goldfields Resort on October 12 & 13. We know some members have booked for the Friday and Saturday and others just the Saturday when we have a private dining room.
You need to book your room direct with the RACV Resort on either www.racv.com.au or call 53459600. Again can you please let Eileen know if you are coming so we can plan some activities. There is a golf course and Ballaarat is 15 minutes away.

President's Report's

Last Night's Meeting was a Board Meeting
The main items for discussion were  based around our Plan for the year, what we want to achieve, and how we are progressing.  On Wed Sept 11 our Club Meeting will be devoted to Club Business with no guest speaker and each Committee Chair will give you an update on what they are up to.  We will be recommending the investment of $1400 in a companion  dog for a Mornington Primary School student.
Thanks to Dennis for joining the meeting.
Our Meeting Calendar until February is now on the website.
So if you want to know what is coming up, or make some plans in your own diary that is where to look.
The Future of Rotary
If you are interested to watch a good presentation about the future of Rotary I can recommend a recent webcast by the e-clubs of Melbourne and Latitude 38. It was delivered by Rotary International President's representative at the 2019 Victorian Multi-District Conference, RI Director and Chair of the RI Planning Committee. Stephanie Urchick. It is at

Finally, Lyn and I look forward to enjoying dinner with the many members attending this Saturday nights social dinner.
