The trees look wonderful and the watering roster is in action. As they thrive and grow, they will provide a beautiful avenue between Elizabeth and Vale Streets.
Mornington Rotary Greenway Stage 2
The next stage of planting will be between Barkly Street and Esplanade, taking in three small parks along the way.
Council has approved the planting, and provided clear instructions on the species to be used and a map detailing tree positions. It is envisaged these 39 trees will be small tube stock, which will not require large quantities of water, and will be easy for our volunteers to plant and maintain, hopefully this Spring.
SCHOOLS SHOWCASE
This special event will take place in the upstairs room at the Mornington Hotel on Wednesday, September 10 from 6pm.
It is always wonderful to watch the student presentations and to meet the children, their parents and teachers.
Don't forget to RSVP if you will be attending on that evening as this will help with the setting up and dinner orders. Guests welcome.
