Our 75th Anniversary – what a very happy birthday it was. Well done to Brian, with help from Pam, Eileen and Ian for organising it, and also to Jenny for the cake, and Victor for the historical display. Some photos of the night have been posted to our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/rotaryclubofmorningtonvictoria
Get well Eileen – Eileen was missed at the 75th and is still in hospital, and we all wish her well in her recovery form a bowel issue. John P also missed due to illness. But it was great to see Dennis and Betty there.
Visit to Beleura – anyone who is interested in a day visit to Beleura House, on Wednesday October 19, please let me know (rosskil@bigpond.com) . The day costs $55 pp and includes a morning tea, light lunch and tours of both the garden and the house. It’s an excellent day and I highly recommend it but numbers are restricted.
Peninsula Trail – you may have seen the feature in the MPNG paper last week. The big news is that the Federal Minister for Tourism, Dan Tehan, visited Moorooduc Station this morning with both Sharn Coombs (Dunkley) and Zoe McKenzie (Flinders) to announce that a re-elected coalition government will contribute $5m to the Moorooduc to Mornington missing link.
