This  Week's Meeting - Sept 11
This Week's Meeting is "Club Business"
Each of our Committee Chair's will give a less than 5 minute update on what they are up to, and there will be sometime for General Business. It's your chance to ask questions or bring up any matters you are interested in. We will also have a 10 minute presentation from Andreas, about Denmark, himself, and his experience to date.
The following week we have Ian Stephenson as our Guest Speaker, and he will talk about Fossil Beach, from its remarkable geological history to its role as a cement works servicing Melbourne to its current day preservation.
Weekend Away  October 12 & 13 at the Goldfields Resort at Creswick
You need to book your room direct with the RACV Resort on either or call 53459600. Again can you please let Eileen know if you are coming so we can plan some activities including the dinner on Saturday night. There is a golf course and Ballaarat is 15 minutes away.
District 9820 Conference - March 20-22 2020
It's an opportunity for another great weekend away and learning more about Rotary's achievements. It might seem a long way away but we need to book accommodation. If you are interested please let Victor, who is coordinating our conference group, ASAP.
President's Report's
Garry Crittenden - Guest Speaker
Thirty members and guests enjoyed Garry's story of how he got into the wine industry and then pioneered it on the Mornington Peninsula. He is a true  Wine and Peninsula Legend. We were especially appreciative of Garry providing us copies of his about to be published family booklet, vouchers for a Cellar  door tasting and the wines for the evening, a Saludos on arrival followed by a Peninsula Chardonnay and a
Geppetto Shiraz.
If you would like a quick look at a man really enjoying his work, have a look at this video . And to appreciate more about the sustainable practices Garry is introducing have a look at this one
The meeting was the first of our proposed Feature Guest Speakers on the first Wednesday night of the month and it was pleasing to see many partners and guests present.
On October 2, in our second feature speaker night we will have Tracey Cooper, Executive Chairman of Visit Mornington Peninsula.
Saturday Night Social Dinner
Thank you to nearly half the Club members and their partners who together enjoyed a social dinner at home on the previous Saturday night. Thanks to Eileen for some yummy desserts and Lyn for a great meal.
Last Thursday Night - Bunnings Fathers Day Night
Thanks to the members who the previous  Thursday night cooked a Father's Day Fun Night BBQ for around 150 guests at Bunnings. A few members also went to the Bunnings Community BBQ Recognition night last Thursday.
Bulletin Editor Update
Brian's shoulder operation was successful, and the pain as expected, but residing. The boredom level is increasing as is the frustration. It's very hard to open a bottle of wine with one hand!
Finally a special hello to Ted Moore, who will hopefully be reading a hard copy of this in Cairns, thanks to Leigh printing and mailing it. (Ted it's 12c as I sit here writing this on Monday afternoon) .
