Mornington Rotary Club
 
Our Club always has  local projects and partnerships, and national and international contributions, that might interest you. Our website and facebook page will give you some insights into them. 
 
We meet regularly on Wednesday nights over dinner at the Mornington Hotel.  Meetings offer guest speakers, social activities and project and partnership development through our Committees.
 
Mornington community members are welcome to join us by either participating in a Club Project or coming along to one of our Club Meetings.

So what are some of our projects?  
 
Santa Train Ride In early December we charter  the Mornington heritage steam train, in partnership  and host  over 100 family members, invited by the Mornington Community Support Centre. With great help from Mt.Eliza Rotary Club our guests enjoyed both the return train trip to Moorooduc, Santa and Mrs Klaus with presents for all the kids, a BBQ, and  ice creams,
 
 
Environmental Project During 2022 we undertook an environmental restoration project at Hunters Crossing over Tanti Creek. We were assisted by a grant from SE Water and the Tanti Creek Friends Group plus some local residents.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Local community park infrastructure. We funded, in partnership with Council,  and the Federal Government,  an elaborate roof over the Long Table in Mornington Park.
 
Supporting Youth in our community through our schools  We continued our close working relationship with all our local schools. We make  available t a number of Rotary Youth Programs,  and also some scholarship and prize funding for their students. We have also recently funded some sports uniforms.
 
Oher community recent projects have included the donation of a computer to our Police Senior Citizens Register, lighting for Bust a Move (BAM) and kitchen equipment for Connect to Australia (C2A) 
 
Fundraising – Bunnings BBQ’s and Car Parking As always our fundraising has been supplemented by holding Bunnings BBQ’s and local event car parking duties.
 
 
Other social events  Besides our normal meetings we have enjoyed both an evening and a day visit to Beleura House and Garden, nights at local restaurants, movie nights, home visits  and an annual picnic in Mornington Park,
