Our first Club Assembly for this rotary year enabled the club to meet in its committees and overview their goals and plans for the next few weeks or months. These meetings seemed to be effective despite the short time frame. REPORT FROM INTERNATIONAL/FOUNDATION COMMITTEEFor 2017 – 2018 The Foundation Committee aims to – · Maintain our contribution to Rotary Foundation by US$100 per member. · To continue our long held support of Australian Rotary Health with a contribution of AU$100 per member. · To offer support for the ARH Muster for Mental Health whilst the convoy is in Mornington on Wednesday 29 November 2017. · Promote to members that we participate in ‘legs’ of the Muster. Maybe - Mildura to Swan Hill (12th to 16th November) Echuca to Shepparton (17th to 22nd November) or Wangaratta to Benalla (24th to 27th November) · To make members aware of the variety of ways they can personally support RI Foundation (EREY [Centurion Program], etc). · Continue to make Paul Harris Fellow presentations to Club and community people who have given service ‘above & beyond. · Support any fundraising function that D9820 and/or the Peninsula Cluster may conduct during 2017-2018. · To promote the amazing value of the Rotary Foundation · Investigate a ‘3rd World’ type project in Uganda as a memorial to the late RI President Elect. International Committee aims to –· Invite a former Trade Commissioner to speak to the Club · Investigate running a Social Cruise on “Enterprise” with drinks & savouries on board then finish with a meal at the Long Table.
